We understand that consumers are more concerned about sodium consumption than ever before, which is why we recently reduced the sodium content of our fries by 20 percent. The amount of sodium in your fries depends on which size you order, but a medium sized fries contains about 570mg of sodium. You can find more nutritional information on this website.
We’re proud to tell you that McDonald’s only uses real, farm-fresh eggs and that they are cooked right in our restaurants! To eliminate the possibility of cross-contamination, we wear blue gloves when handling our eggs. As far as we know, we were the first Quick Service Restaurant in the region to start receiving washed and sanitized eggs from approved farms. This ensures that any bacteria on the egg shell don’t make its way into our food.
McDonald’s carefully inspects, dates and labels all products as soon as they arrive at our restaurants. From there, we adhere to a special procedure called FIFO, which means ‘First In, First Out’. FIFO is designed to ensure products are organized according to their expiration dates, rotated on a regular basis, and used in sequential order. We also perform regular food quality checks on our refrigerated and frozen items to ensure they are at peak quality.
McDonald's is exceptionally proud of its "Made for You" system, which makes sure you receive your meal just the way you like it. From the second you order, our crew members at different preparation stations begin toasting the buns, adding ingredients and packaging your food. We’re happy to add or remove specific ingredients at the customer's request.
With our "Made for You" system in place, it means we assemble your food only after you have ordered it, not before.
